Left parties are divided over alliance with JD(U)-RJD combine in Bihar. While the CPIML-Liberation, CPM are strongly against joining it, the oldest communist organisation of the state—the CPI is in dilemma over the issue.

“We will not join RJD alliance. Left parties will fight as a front,” Kavita Krishnan, senior CPIML-Liberation leader told Deccan Herald.

She, however, refrained from making any comment on attempt by CPI’s Bihar unit to push the idea of forming a joint front with non-BJP parties to oppose the NDA .

CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury has already made it clear that Left Front would contest Bihar Assembly elections alone and not join any alliance. He had indicated that the decision would not be changed.
