Last Updated 30 June 2015, 19:42 IST

The Hyderabad High Court of Judicature on Tuesday granted conditional bail to TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy, Bishop Harry Sebastian and R Uday Kumar Simha, accused in the cash-for-votes case.

Revanth’s lawyers could not secure his release from the Cherlapalli Central Prison by the end of the day due to typos in the court order.

Granting bail, Justice Raja Elango directed the accused to submit a bond surety for Rs 5 lakh each and deposit their passports before the court.

The court asked Revanth not to leave his Kodangal constituency in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana and cooperate with the ACB.

On May 31, Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested Revanth and the others for offering Rs 50 lakh bribe money to TRS nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to vote in favour of the TDP candidate Vem Narender Reddy in the MLC elections. The three accused moved to the High Court on June 15 for bail.
