Rathore gets interim bail in Ruchika case

Justice Sabina of the High Court also directed the CBI to give four days notice to Rathore if it needed to arrest or interrogate him in connection with the third case registered against him relating to abetment to suicide of Ruchika Girhotra.

The judge while granting interim bail to the former top cop in the first two cases lodged by the father and brother of the victim, Ruchika, fixed next date of hearing on his anticipatory bail plea to February 15.

The cases relate to attempt to murder and forging of documents pertaining to Ruchika’s postmortem.

Fourteen-year-old Ruchika Girhotra had committed suicide in 1993, three years after the molestation incident involving Rathore.
