Priyanka, the 23-year-old girl who had barged into her estranged lover’s wedding last November, had approached KSHRC seeking action against Anand. She had also filed a pseudo-application seeking compensation from Anand on the insistence of Vivekananda.

However, various women’s organisations staged a protest in front of KSHRC office after a City tabloid carried a story on Priyanka’s demand for compensation from Anand based on the said pseudo-application. The protestors demanded action against Vivekananda alleging that he had leaked out the application to the media.

Later, they filed a complaint against KSHRC in this regard. Subsequently, Upparpet police raided KSHRC office and arrested Vivekananda’s brother Satish and his office assistant Peter last Saturday. Vivekananda, however, had absconded.

According to sources, although Vivekananda didn't appear before the judge, he was present in the court premises. Commotion prevailed there when angry lawyers gheraoed his car and called Ulsoorgate police outpost to arrest him immediately.

However, Vivekanada escaped. The eight Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Judge Kiran Kini also deferred the hearing on the bail application of Satish to Jan 28.
