A complete solar building in B'luru

A four-storey building at Jayanagar 4th Block in Bengaluru is fully powered by solar enegery for the past four months.  The building has not utilised the power supplied by Bescom during the said period.

Speaking to media on Friday, building owner Jayaprakash said that the building had been generating solar sufficient power to meet all its needs. All the lights, air conditioners and lift are operating on solar energy. The panel is of 11.5 kW capacity and inverter is of 25 kW capacity with 150-AAH capacity 20 batteries. The installation cost Rs 13 lakh and generates 44 units of power every day.The building is designed in such a way that most areas get natural sun light, but in places where it is less, solar panels have been installed.
