Stop order on varsity recruitments

 
Deputy Secretary of the Department, V S Japali, in a letter to the vice-chancellor has said that several complaints have been received alleging irregularities in the recruitment of readers, professors and lecturers and hence the process should be halted henceforth till further orders.

The letter also asks the VC to keep the issuance of appointment orders in abeyance and not to take the candidates on duty in case the orders are already issued. It has also instructed not to seek approval of the Syndicate for the recruitments.
 
It may be recalled that Prajavani had recently published a report on violation of Governor’s guidelines in the appointments.
