Nevertheless, she says she was a sincere student and loved her school and college life. “I rarely got holidays for my ad shoots as my teachers and parents always made sure that my first priority was education,” says Aarthi, whose favourite subject was Biology.

“I wanted to become a dentist like my father and loved my Bio classes. But something made me stick to modelling and movies came along,” she adds. Acting was something, she says, she was born with. “In college, I was a part of the drama club. I loved theatre and took part in a lot of drama competitions and also directed many plays,” says she.

In class, Aarthi says she a back-bencher, who was always upto pranks. “Once during a mental-math paper, I took a pencil, which looked like a pen, and started scribbling some numbers on the bench. Looking at me, even the girl next to me did the same, except that she used a pen. The teacher caught her and that girl decided to get me also into trouble. But I had already erased my work by then and she had no proof that I had cheated. The poor thing got into serious trouble after that,” she shares.
