Chandrashekar does star turn

Chandrashekar’s six wicket haul (6/21) helped VVS Sardar Patel High School clinch victory over Ryan International School, Yelahanka in the KSCA under-16 Group I, Division II tournament.

The game was a low scoring affair as Sardar Patel HS could only manage a meagre 189 all out in 41.4 overs, Anirudh top-scoring with 61. Sardar Patel HS did not let the low score deflate them as they shot out Ryan International for 157 in 35.5 overs. 

Chandrashekar was the chief destroyer with his six wickets and he was ably supported by Anirudh, who followed up his 61 with three wickets (3/47). In another match, Sri Kumaran Public School posted a 24-run win over Holy Cross School.

Results: VVS Sardar Patel High School: 189 all out in 41.4 overs (Anirudh 61, Shrikar 31; Steve 3-30, Chandra Vegi 2-48, Shekar 2-43, Manoj 3-22) bt Ryan International School, Yelahanka: 157 all out in 35.5 overs (Anirudh 3-47, Chandrashekar 6-21).

Sri Kumaran Public School, ICSE: 152 all out in 46.3 overs (Murali 2-20, Saudagar 5-28) bt Holy Cross School: 128 all out in 40.3 overs (Arun 33; Saihishnu 2-21, Adrusht 3-28, Rochan 2-20).

Sri Aurobindo Memorial School: 104 all out in 31.3 overs (Suhas 2-12, Zaid 2-18, Jaswanth 3-20) lt to Florence School: 105/5 in 29.2 overs (Nihar 25; Ganapathi 2-20)

St. Paul’s English School: 262 all out in 48.2 overs (Shiv Kumar 72, Rahul R 78; Lohith 2-9, Smaran 4-50) bt Sri Kumaran Children’s School, CBSE: 202/3 in 39.5 overs (Pranav 75 n.o., Aryan 33) by better run rate (Match was called off due to heavy rain).
