A 70-year-old man died of heart attack minutes after casting his vote in the Vrishubavathi Nagar ward (No 102) in the Mahalakshmi Layout Assembly constituency on Saturday.
The police said Narayanappa, a resident of Vrishubavathi Nagar, was returning home after casting his vote at a booth, when he suddenly held onto his chest and collapsed.
The public alerted the police who shifted him to a private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The Kamakshipalya police informed his family members.
