Debt-ridden farmer ends life

A debt-ridden farmer has committed suicide by hanging at Kundoor village in Singatagere hobli of Kadur taluk on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old K S Vasanth. Vasanth owned four acres of coconut plantations and six acres of khushki land. He had borrowed Rs one lakh to develop his land. Lack of rainfall and failure of crops left him frustrated and he was forced to take the extreme step.
