Tight security at writer Bhagawan's residence

Security has been tightened at writer K S Bhagawan’s residence here in the wake of a Twitter comment that after M M Kalburgi, a similar fate awaited him.

“It was U R Ananthamurthy, now M M Kalburgi and next it will be writer K S Bhagawan”, says a Twitter comment posted by a handler in Dakshina Kannada. However, it has to be recalled here that Ananthamurthy died naturally due to age-related ailments.

After Bhagawan’s controversial statement on Bhagavad Gita, the City Armed Reserve Police force had been providing him round-the-clock security at his residence on Udayaravi Road in Kuvempu Nagar. Soon after the killing of Kalburgi and the warning on twitter, an additional team of civil policemen, headed by a head constable, has been deployed at the writer’s house, said a police officer of the jurisdiction concerned.
