The men’s team chalked out three wins in as many matches on the day while the women’s team fared just as well with two wins in two matches.
The Karnataka men thumped Tamil Nadu 25-17, 25-18 in their opening encounter and pulled off a facile 25-13, 25-21 win over Andra Pradesh. Hosts Kerala came under Karnataka’s fire as they went down 25-15, 25-13.
In the women’s category, Karnataka thumped Kerala 25-7, 25-10 in their opening match and in their second game thumped Goa 25-14, 25-10.
