The KRV activists staged a dharna in front of the College by placing the body of construction worker Krishnappa (35) who died after he slipped from the building while working on Wednesday evening.
Krishnappa who suffered serious injuries was admitted to Jalappa hospital in Kolar but died.
The activists urging to provide suitable compensation for the family protested for six hours.
They withdrew the strike after the College authorities agreed to provide a compensation of Rs 1.60 lakh for the family of the deceased.
KaRaVe district President Kodandaramaiah, legal unit president Rajagopal Gowda, Chinnaprakash, Geetha Ramesh, Nanjundappa and others led the protest.
