The State Cabinet has given its nod for extending budgetary support for establishing Aerospace Common Finishing Facility (ACFF) proposed to be set up at Aerospace Park near Devanahalli in Bengaluru Rural district.

The facility will enable small and medium enterprises working in aerospace sector to avail facilities of surface coatings and treatment on user charge basis. The Centre has recently approved to set up the facility at the cost of Rs 90.50 crore. The facility will be set up under the modified industrial infrastructure upgradation scheme. Both the Centre and the State will equally share the cost, according to a press release by Industries Minister R V Deshpande.

Besides, the Cabinet has approved a proposal to shift a high-tension line in Gubbi taluk of Tumakuru district to enable implementation of HAL's helicopter unit project.

The cost of shifting the line will be borne by the State government. The Cabinet also decided to reimburse the cost of ESI and PF payment to smaller factories (those employing less than 99 workers) to facilitate investment in the textile and the garment sectors.
