Curfew in Bikaner after communal clash

 A curfew has been imposed in Dungargarh town of Bikaner district when members of two communities clashed during a religious procession.

Tension has gripped Bhilwara and Dungargarh towns in Rajasthan after members of two communities resorted to violence at a religious procession. Local administration has imposed a complete ban on the use of Internet and Whatsapp in Bhilwara city.

Troubles started at Gusaisar village of Dungargarh tehsil when the two communities were taking out their respective religious processions and forced each other to stop playing loud music and drums.

It led to a severe clash in which five people, including two policemen sustained injuries and were admitted to the hospital. Locals pelted stones at the police and set two vehicles and a few stalls on fire.

Later, the police resorted to lathi charge to disburse the mob. Local markets were closed and a heavy police force was deployed.

In another incident, a 20-year-old boy was found murdered in the public urinals in Sanganeri Gate area of Bhilwara city.

The community members blamed people of another community for the murder and demanded immediate arrest in this incident. A number of people ransacked the local market area demanding immediate arrest.

Markets were closed and heavy police force was deployed to control situation. People belonging to boy's community refused to take out their religious procession, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
