JOIN USTwo girls, aged six and eight, were allegedly raped by their tuition teacher at his home in North West Delhi’s Bhalaswa Dairy.
Police have arrested the culprit and booked him under IPC section 376 and POCSO Act.
Rajkumar, 29, committed the act over a period of one week, said police.
“We have arrested the accused person and have been interrogating him to find out whether he has done similar acts with his other students also,’’ said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Vijay Singh.
A married man with a five-year-old boy, Rajkumar had been teaching the girls for the past three months.
Four-five other students, apart from the victims, also come to his house to take the classes.
On Friday evening one of the two victims expressed her unwillingness to go to the classes claiming stomach ache. The child’s parents asked her about the reason for the stomach ache. After some time the girl revealed to them about how her tution teacher had been molesting her for the past few days.
She also told her parents that one of her colleagues is also a victim and they both were warned by the teacher to not reveal the matter to anyone.
After hearing the details the shocked parents contacted the family members of the other victim and together they lodged a complaint at the Bhalaswa Dairy police station.
Police have registered an FIR and arrested the accused.
