Reservation chart four hours before train departure

In order to help passengers to know and plan their journey well in time, the Railways has decided to put up reservation charts on trains four hours before their scheduled departure from November 18.

Reservation will again become open at the computerised passenger reservation system and also on the Internet immediately after preparation of the first chart. Passengers can book the available accommodation in the train for the full/partial leg of the journey if there is no Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC)/wait list.

If there is an RAC/waiting list for the train, passengers can cancel the ticket up to 30 minutes before its scheduled departure. This is made to facilitate passengers, particularly those with partially confirmed tickets, to decide either to undertake the journey or cancel the ticket.
