A solo exhibition of sculptural works, ‘Lotus Eaters’, by Bangalore-based artist Krishnaraj Chonat will be on display at Galleryske till November 15.

Chonat’s works often stem from personal experiences of urban life, reflecting on critical issues.

In ‘Lotus Eaters’, Chonat continues his engagement with the city, which he has seen constantly transforming over four decades.

The title of the show draws from Greek mythology and reflects the artist’s observation of total apathy to urban and environmental issues amongst city dwellers.

‘Lotus Eaters’ strives to trigger the quandaries of city inhabitants, commenting on society’s collective consciousness.

His selected solo exhibitions include ‘All Sunsets are Sunsets’, ‘Nature Morte’, New Delhi, ‘My hands smell of you’, Galleryske, Bangalore (2010), and ‘Island. The exhibition is on from Monday to Saturday, 11 am to 7 pm.
