A blend of the old and new

A blend of the old and new

Rob Heron from the UK will be performing with his band the ‘Tea Pad Orchestra’ live this weekend at Windmills Craftworks.

They will be performing on November 20 and 21, 9.30 pm at Windmills Craftworks.
The genres they sing in are North Eastern Swing, Hokum Blues, Hot Jazz, Western Swing and Country. Rob Heron will be on guitar, vocals, Tom Cronin on mandolin, harmonica, Colin Nicholson on accordion, Ben Fitzgerald on guitar and Ted Harbot on double bass.

With an eclectic style that is influenced by early 20th century American music, their music is a subtle melting pot of the golden age and modern era.

The songs are penned by Rob Heron, who is crazy about country music and is a full time dandy-cowboy.  His songs are full of character, satire, and good old fashion hollering.
Rob Heron, along with fellow songwriter Tom Cronin, neatly combines modern topics with a quality old-school arrangement.
