After launching its Automotive Student Service Educational Training (ASSET) in several cities in India, including Bengaluru, Kochi and Mumbai, auto major Ford India has unveiled its sixth ASSET centre in Chennai.
Ford will train students at ASSET on Ford’s Technology as part of Motor Mechanic Vehicle (MMV) curriculum, in partnership with PSB Industrial Training Institute.
The Ford ASSET centre, located at Kelambakkam near here, is set up within the campus of the PSB Industrial Training Institute. It will certify students for their understanding of Ford’s technology, thereby making them proficient in working across Ford dealerships and service network in India. Ford now plans to establish 14 such centres in the country by 2016.
