The street pups, as old as 2-3 months were vaccinated and were handed over to their new masters along with adoption kits and tips on looking after pets.

“It is very important to know where the pup is going and how it is kept at the house.  We tell people before adoption on how to maintain a pup, what to feed them and how to keep them under control," said Marwan, a member of the Golden Husk NGO.

The programme also had ‘Stray Animal Arts’ where animal lovers and their pets were invited to share their stories and experiences about their pets.  The purpose of the event was to raise money for stray dogs in need and to assist in vaccination and sterilisation drives.  The event was organised by Jain University,  Community Radio - Radio Active and JC Road Campus in association with The Golden Husk an NGO.
