Theatre lovers in the City are in for a treat with Sharman Joshi’s play ‘Raju Raja Ram aur Main’ on December 6, 6 pm at Chowdiah Memorial Hall.

Sharman performs four different roles in the play and excels extra-ordinarily. The play will see him enacting four characters on stage. This play is the one which is believed to have brought Sharman in the limelight and his performance bagged him an opportunity to act in Bollywood. This play will be presented by ‘Kshitij’.

Critics vouch for his comic timing and the audience loves Sharman’s humour. Playing four different roles that depict a range of characters in terms of age, body language, temperament, style and costumes, in front of a live audience is indeed challenging and
Sharman managed to do just that.

Sharman Joshi has acted as a hearing-impaired character in the Gujarati version of a popular play, ‘All the Best’, which did over 550 shows in three years.

He made his acting debut in ‘Godmother’ and debuted as a co-lead actor in ‘Style’, which was followed by supporting roles in films like ‘Xcuse Me’, ‘Shaadi No 1’, ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘Golmaal’, ‘Life in a... Metro’, ‘Hello’, and ‘3 Idiots’. His next film was ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’, which got him critical acclaim and he was last seen in ‘War Chod na
Yaar’ (2013) and ‘Gang of Ghosts’.
