Three from B'luru killed in mishap

 Three persons including a couple were killed on the spot after the car in which they were travelling in rammed into a truck near Channarayapatna on Sunday.

The deceased have been identified as Sundaresh, 59, his wife Usha, 51 from JP Nagar and their friend Prasanna Kumar, 50 from Bannerghatta, Bengaluru. The accident occurred when they were travelling to Sringeri from Bengaluru. The car had reached Katrighatta Gate, near Channarayapatna on National Highway 75, when the it hit the truck loaded with maize. Police said the accident was due to the negligence on the part of the truck driver. The truck driver fled the spot, after abandoning the vehicle. Channarayapatna Rural Police have registered a case.
