Yet another police complaint has been registered against Vishalakshi Bhat, the manager of insurance firm HDFC Life (BTM Layout branch), who has made away with lakhs of rupees she had collected from public as insurance premium.

In her complaint with the Subramanyapura police, Renuka Devi, a relative of actor Sumalatha Ambarish, has stated that Vishalakshi had taken Rs 52 lakh from her towards insurance premium payment. However, she did not pay the amount to the company.

When Renuka Devi questioned her, Vishalakshi returned back Rs 10 lakh and told that she would remit the remaining amount as insurance premium, the complaint stated.

But when the complainant tried to contact her a few days later, she was unavailable. Also, she was not coming to office. The complainant said that she was cheated by Vishalkashi of her money, said the police.

Many cases have been registered against Vishalakshi in various police stations. “Her mobile phone is switched off and we are trying to track her by other means,” said the police.

In one of the cases registered at Madivala police station, the complainant said that he had paid the manager Rs 10 lakh cash towards premium payment a couple of weeks ago.

When the complainant tried to contact Vishalakshi to find if the money was paid, her mobile phone was switched off and was not reachable in the office.
