<p>A group of unidentified persons set ablaze a sports utility vehicle (SUV) at Valmiki Nagar in Chamarajpet police limits in the early hours of Wednesday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>According to the police, at around 2 am, the miscreants poured petrol on the SUV owned by Syed Zaheer, a scrap dealer. Zaheer, who had parked his car in front of his house, herd some whispering sounds and came out of his house only to find his car on fire. <br /><br /> He immediately alerted his family members and was able to douse the fire. The bonnet of the car was damaged due to the fire. <br /><br />Zaheer informed the police, who visited the spot and obtained CCTV footage. The police suspect that someone known to Zaheer would have committed the crime to take revenge. <br />A case has been registered in Chamarajpet police station.<br /><br /></p>
