<p> Central Bureau of Investigation officials on Wednesday arrested a Delhi Police head constable for accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The constable was posted at Kashmiri Gate police station and has been sent to four days’ judicial custody.<br /><br />According to a CBI official, the policeman Devendra Tomar had been demanding Rs 10,000 as bribe from a person who subsequently complained about it to the CBI’s Vigilance Department.<br /><br />After the complaint, Tomar’s phone was put on surveillance and then the complainant was asked to agree to pay the head constable the desired amount.<br /><br />On Wednesday, when the complainant was giving the money to Tomar, he was nabbed by the CBI officials red-handed.<br /><br />The head constable has been suspended.<br /><br />“Following the raid conducted by CBI officials and a recovery of Rs 10,000 bribe, the head constable was suspended and further investigation was ordered”, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Madhur Verma.</p>
