Will better City traffic in 3 months: Kheny

Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (Nice) Managing Director and Bidar MLA Ashok Kheny on Friday said that he would improve the traffic situation in the City in three months if provided an opportunity.

He also offered to resign as a legislator if he failed in the mission.

“All I am asking the government is to give me the basic road data and I will come out with a model to improve the City traffic. If I cannot deliver in three months, I will resign as MLA.

I have also asked the government’s permission to build a dedicated 19-km road to international airport from Electronic City. But the chief minister and other ministers do not seem to be interested in improving the City. They do not have a vision. They indulge in gossip and most decisions are taken based on gossip ,” he said.

Kheny was speaking to media on the sidelines of the press conference to announce the third edition of Ajmera Thump - half marathon and 10, five-km run from Nice Toll Plaza, Nayanadanahalli, on December 13.

The event has been jointly organised by Life is Calling, Ajmera Housing Corporation, Life Insurance Corporation and Nice. A part of the funds raised from the event will be donated to Parkinson's Society of Karnataka.

Describing the government’s decision on Chalukya Circle steel flyover as “rusty and noisy,” Kheny said that he was ready to improve Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway from his own money, but the government was not forthcoming.
