<p>Country's largest software exporter TCS has been chosen by German aviation major Deutsche Lufthansa AG to set up a test factory to support its IT transformation initiative in a "multi-million dollar" deal.<br /><br /></p>.<p>TCS will provide testing services and help improve the quality of services of Lufthansa's technology operations, the Tata Group company said in a statement.<br /><br />It will pioneer and manage the enterprise testing services by setting up a test factory model across Lufthansa to streamline and standardise their testing processes, reduce capital expenditure and implement next generation services.<br /><br />"Simplification of processes and systems is crucial to meet the changing demands of customers in today's digital age", TCS Director for Central Europe, Sapthagiri Chapalapalli, said.<br /><br />He said Lufthansa has been a client for TCS in the past as well and it has been investing significantly in expanding operations and talent base in Germany.<br /><br />TCS serves 85 clients in Germany and Austria through its central European operations.<br />The company scrip was trading at Rs 2,407.10 a piece, up 1.34 per cent on the BSE.</p>
