‘The By2Blues Electric Project’ is the semi-electric extension of ‘By2Blues’ (an acoustic two-piece band) founded by Ananth Menon and Vasudev Prabhu.
United by a deep and abiding love for the blues, Ananth and Dev chose to electrify their acoustic band by adding percussion and bass into the mix, creating a unique sound that is both authentic and exciting for the audience.
‘The By2Blues Electric Project’s classic blues and blues-rock is in highly original style. The band’s unique sound is a blend of powerful vocals, searing guitar licks and honkin’ electric harmonica held together by a rock-solid rhythm and bass unit.
The band comprises Ananth Menon who is a known singer and guitarist and involved in multiple bands and musical projects; blues harmonica man, Vasudev Prabhu whose musical style toggles between traditional, post-war blues and modern blues-rock that is dynamic and highly expressive and Joe Anthony, who is a very versatile drummer and a trained classical
percussionist.
