A day after the Janata Dal (United) took umbrage at Lalu’s ‘sermon’ to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to improve the law and order situation in the state, the RJD hit back at its alliance partner on Thursday.

“Leaders in the JD(U), over the years, have developed this habit of listening to only their leader’s praise. So if anyone points out a shortcoming, the JD(U) leaders feel offended and react immediately,” said former Union minister and RJD vice-president Raghuvansh Prasad Singh.

“If Nitish Kumar is in the driver’s seat, he will have to take the responsibility and explain as to why there is derailment on the law and order front,” the senior RJD leader and former MP from Vaishali said.
