Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed curiosity in ‘ragi mudde’ (ragi balls) during his stay at the Laitha Mahal Palace Hotel, here on Saturday night, according to sources.
While having his dinner, the menu for which included Karnataka specialities like
bisibelebath and the GI-tagged Mysuru Pak, Modi showed interest in tasting ragi mudde.
The chefs rushed to the kitchen to roll the ragi balls, before Modi finished his dinner.
Finally, ‘soppina saaru’ and ragi mudde were served to the prime minister. Besides, ‘jolada rotti’ was kept ready, in case he evinced interest in the dish.
