A 32-year-old motorcyclist was mowed down by a speeding BMTC bus in Kamakshipalya traffic police limits on Sunday.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as C Ramakrishna, a resident of Kamakshipalya.
The incident occurred at around 4.50 pm when Ramakrishna, who was employed as a security guard, was heading towards his relative’s house. The driver of the speeding BMTC bus lost control of the vehicle and rammed into Ramakrishna.
He was rushed to the ESI hospital in Rajajainagar, where he succumbed to his injuries at around 7 pm, said the police.
The police have seized the bus and the driver of the bus, Mohammad Rafeeque, has also been arrested.
