<p>Notwithstanding the apology offered by him, the Congress on Wednesday issued a show-cause notice to its Mumbai unit chief Sanjay Nirupam over an article published in party magazine.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The article criticised Jawaharlal Nehru’s foreign policy and called Sonia Gandhi’s father a “fascist soldier”.<br /><br />The article in “Congress Darshan”, a periodical of which Nirupam is the editor, made headlines on December 28, the Congress foundation day, leaving party leaders red faced.<br /><br />The AICC’s Disciplinary Action Committee, chaired by A K Antony, slapped a notice on Nirupam asking him to reply in a week.<br /><br />Nirupam had claimed ignorance about the articles carried in the magazine and sacked the editorial content in-charge. He claimed that he was the victim of a conspiracy by his political opponents.<br /><br /></p>
