Mobile app to block calls while driving

A mobile phone application, which helps in blocking calls while driving or riding, was launched on the occasion of Road Safety Week recently.

The app Drive Safe.Smart was launched by Transport Commissioner Rame Gowda, Police Commissioner N S  Megharikh and Addl Commissioner of Police (Traffic) M A Saleem at a National Road Safety Week conference at the Opera House Grounds on Brigade Road.

The app helps citizens to be responsible while driving or riding. It does not allow any call when the user is driving and sends an instant message stating that ‘I’m driving, will call later’. The app was created by iTrans technologies. Mallesh Reddy, CEO, iTrans Technologies said, “Since, the Road Safety Week is on we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to spread awareness on road safety and provide drivers or riders with a solution.”
