<div>BJP leader Subramanian Swamy today said India should give a befitting reply to Pakistan in the wake of terror attack on Pathankot air base, allegedly carried out by an outfit operating from the neighbouring country.<br /><br />"We should give Pakistan a befitting reply," he told reporters when asked about the terror strike, said to have been engineered by Jaish-e-Mohammad, on the key Air Force facility in Punjab earlier this month.<br /><br />The former Union Minister supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policy on Pakistan, terming it "proper".<br /><br />Swamy criticised West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the violence in Malda district and said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh should write a letter to her and seek explanation over the issue.<br /><br />Swamy was in the city to deliver a lecture, organised by 175-year-old 'Sarvajanik Wachanalaya' (a public library), on the topic "India yesterday, today and tomorrow".<br /><br />He also interacted with members of Laghu Udyog Bharati, a body of small scale industries and other local entrepreneurs. <br /></div>
