State panel clears four IT projects

The State Level Single Window Clearance Committee chaired by Information Technology Minister S R Patil on Tuesday cleared four IT projects, including the expansion plans submitted by Uber and Reliance.

According to an official note from the minister’s office, the panel cleared an expansion plan by Uber India pertaining to its mobile application to connect riders with transport providers.
The project is estimated to cost Rs 99 crore and would provide employment to 200 persons.
Another project submitted by Reliance Communication Infrastructure to expand its existing data centre at Sadaramangala Industrial Area with an investment of Rs 67 crore was cleared by the panel.

The expansion is anticipated to create an additional 800 jobs. Two more expansion projects - one by Aris Global Software (with an investment of Rs 21.9 crore) and another by Srichid Technologies (financial service, healthcare and IT service) - was cleared by the panel on Tuesday.
