'Disclosure of Bose files spells trouble for Cong'

Last Updated 23 January 2016, 20:08 IST

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Saturday said, declassification of files related to the suspicious death of freedom fighter and Indian National Army  founder Subhash Chandra Bose spells trouble for the Congress party.

Swamy was addressing mediapersons ahead of his talk to mark the birth anniversary of Bose, organised by Yuva Brigade. Swamy, who claims to have vetted the files related to Bose’s death (in his capacity as commerce minister in the cabinet of then Prime Minister Chandrashekar), made the contention even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi released 100 more files related to Bose, in New Delhi.

Referring to Dalit students’ protests across the country in connection with Hyderabad Central University student Rohith Vemula’s suicide, Swamy said any student protesting in universities, even for a day, should be suspended.
