The competition between restaurants and cafes in Koramangala are only getting tighter. Although just a year- and-a-half-old, ‘Hangout Cafe’, located in Koramangala 6th block is attracting a lot of foodies.
“Our idea was to start a cafe that replicates an European cafe in terms of its looks. We wanted to target the young crowd and provide them with a space where they can either work, spend time with themselves or hangout with their friends,” says Shiva Kumar C S Reddy, one of the partners of the cafe.
The interiors of the cafe is bright and welcoming. If the cafe is full, one doesn’t have to worry, there is comfortable sitting arrangement on the side of the cafe for you to relax while you wait for your turn and figure out what to eat. The cafe serves continental food with a lot of improvisation. The menu is elaborately spread and gives one a lot of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.
As starters, one can munch on the chicken pie or the crunchy and freshly made nachos and chilli cheese fingers and if you are a Maggi fan, you can slurp on their arabiata or cream cheese garlic Maggi. The wraps, sandwiches and the steaks are fast moving with most of them coming in a creative combination.
The pasta lovers can look forward to a plate of classic chicken pasta or a risotto milanese. Don’t fill up your tummy with just these as there is more to try. If you are a coffee addict, you can look for some exotic coffees, however if you think of completing the course, don’t do it until you have ordered a molten multi-layer chocolate. And you will not regret the decision. Their play list has a lot of nostalgic tracks from the 90s. Though the food is good and pocket-friendly, the service needs to be quicker as waiting for food can kill the craving.
