The division bench headed by K L Manjunath issued the notice, while hearing a petition by Zakirunissa. On December 12, the Court had given a stay order on all the work being undertaken in this area, questioning the land acquisition notification issued on April 14, 2008.
Despite the order, a tender was awarded to Nagarjuna Constructions and the work continued. The petitioners said that road widening works were going on and pillars were being raised. The hearing has been adjourned.
