Chairman of the committee on atrocities against women and children V S Ugrappa on Monday reviewed cases of atrocities in Bengaluru Rural district.
Ugrappa directed heads of departments to submit action taken reports in cases of atrocities before February 15.
The meeting was attended by committee members, heads of departments, including department of women and child welfare, doctors from government hospitals and police.
Bengaluru Rural district SP Ramesh Banoth submitted a report of missing children and women and cases of domestic violence in the last 10 years. Ugrappa said the `Nirbhaya Nidhi', meant for women victims of atrocities, has not been utilised properly. Officials of around 34 departments who arrived for the meeting scheduled for 11.30 am, were left waiting for the chairman, who landed only at 1.30 pm after inspecting hospitals and a hostel in Doddaballapur.
