'Style of language, literature changing once in 25 years now'

Former regional director of Central Hindi Institute Gnanam on Friday, said, “Language and literature should be developed beyond communities and nations, and every person holds the responsibility towards its development.”

After inaugurating a one-day national seminar ‘Ikkisvi Sadi Ka Katha Sahitya,’ organised by MMK Shri Dharmasthala Manjunateshwara (SDM) Women’s College, here, he said, “Everything is being commercialised due to the fast pace of life nowadays. In ancient times, the style of language and literature was changing once in two centuries. But now, changes are taking place once in 25 years. Drastic changes in the usage of language is resulting in it.”

Associate Professor at Calicut University Pramod Kovaprath said, “Humans must have dreams. But, in this vague situation, dreams are dying and the words does not match actions.”

Quoting a message ‘Don’t cut trees, protect villages’, Kovaprath asked if there is any use if we just post it on social media. Principal K V Damodara Gowda, seminar coordinator N Pushpalatha and students participated in the seminar.
