<p>For the first time in the country, women para-medical staff in Tamil Nadu will operate two-<br />wheeler ambulance.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The two-wheelers are specifically designed for women. The ambulance scooter, which was unveiled by Chief Minister J Jayalalitha on Monday, is equipped with all necessary medical instruments and medicines for carrying out first-aid services to accident victims. Accordingly, the nurse is expected to reach accident victims within ten minutes of the mishap, which is considered as platinum <br />minutes.<br /><br />The aim is to provide medical assistance before the 108 ambulance reaches the spot, thus bringing down the response time. The two-wheelers will also be equipped with portable oxygen cylinder, pulsoxymeter, BP apparatus etc.</p>
