After Gokula, actor Yash is once again ready to make an appearance in a multi-starrer. His new film Rajadhani, has five lead characters. National Award winner Prakash Rai has a prominent role in the movie as a circle inspector.

The film is based on the life in Bangalore and unfolds the dreams and struggles of five unemployed youth, who find different ways to achieve their goals. “Through this movie, I will be essaying a role that I have never attempted before. The script is very contemporary and realistic. Today, youngsters are undergoing tremendous amount of peer pressure. As soon as they complete their education, they are bound by family obligations and forced to earn.”

“I am playing one such unemployed youth who has no control over his anger. Despite its rough and tough characters, the film is not loaded with crime and blood. It is more of a family drama,” says Yash.

The title Rajadhani has its own significance. It represents Bangalore and comes from the first letter of the names of the five lead characters — Raja, Jaggi, Dhamu and Nitya. “Bangalore is a city of dreams. Many people come here to realise their dreams. So, we are shooting the entire movie within city limits. Except one song, all scenes will be shot in real locations,” he says.

Aa Dinagalu fame Satya, Ninasam Sandeep, Chetan Chandra and Ravi Teja are the other four lead characters. Raghu Jaya is debuting as a director with a new producer, Soumya Satyan.

“Even though this is my first movie as a director, I didn’t face any problems in having an excellent team for this movie. Yash and Prakash Rai accepted their characters promptly after listening to the script. And I have got my favourite cinematographer, H C Venu, to wield the camera,” says Raghu Jaya.
