JOIN USMumtaz Sorcar, daughter of magician PC Sorcar-junior, who was last seen in sports drama ‘Saala Khadoos’, says actor R Madhavan is like a father to her. Describing Madhavan as a wonderful human being, the young actress said the ‘3 Idiots’ star was “almost like a teacher on the sets of ‘Saala Khadoos’.
The actress recalled how she showed a few magic tricks to her much-senior co-star in between shoots. “We had a ball during shoots. I recall Madhavan had requested me to show one or two magic tricks since I hail from the PC Sorcar family. Many a time he came to the set and I was around, he would say ‘Can you show some magic?’ and I obliged.”
Mumtaz essayed the role of the sister of the fisherwoman-boxer (Ritika Singh) in the film and she said the two bonded well on the sets. In an extension to her magician’s role, Mumtaz also plans to be part of a feature film on magic.
