There were multiple abrasions on his left foot and nose, apart from tenderness in his left toe, a police source said today.<br /><br />The student leader was produced in the court on Wednesday after the end of his police custody, where a group of men dressed in lawyers' robes unleashed a brazen attack on him and others, which included journalists, who were present there.<br /><br />Following the incident, Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi had said that Kanhaiya Kumar was "well-protected" and he was "not beaten up".<br /><br />He, however, initiated inquiry into reports of stone pelting on him.<br /><br />Later in the night, the police registered two fresh cases in connection with the violence at the court complex, of which one pertained to the attack on the student leader.</p>
