The Finance Ministry on Friday celebrated the traditional Halwa ceremony after which the employees involved with printing of the Budget along with a couple of senior officials, will be locked up in the basement of the North Block housing the ministry.
During the next 10 days until Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presents his Budget in Parliament, the employees, more than 100 in number, will be cut off from their family members with virtually no access to phone, e-mails and other mode of communication from the outside world.
