Handicraft festival ends on a high note

The 41st edition of India Handicrafts and Gifts Fair (IHGF) Delhi Fair Spring 2016 held at India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, concluded on February 23. 

Organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), the three-day fair this year saw 4,700 trade visitors including international buyers from over 110 countries, buying agents, domestic volume retailers and over 2,800 exhibitors. 

More than 2,000 types of products like houseware, tableware, kitchenware, hotelware, home furnishing, home textiles, and linens, festive décor, educational games, trophies, games, toys, accessories were displayed at the event. However, the highlight of the show were the crafts from India’s northeastern region showcased at the theme pavilion at IHGF.  Twenty seven artisans and entrepreneurs from the region displayed their forest-based products in contemporary designs.
