JOIN US The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) on Wednesday gave away awards instituted under Self Help Group-Bank Linkage programme for encouraging and inspiring best practices among stakeholders.
Eugene E Karthak, Regional Director of Reserve Bank of India, presented the awards to the winners under various categories for the years 2013-14 and 2014-15.
Earlier, Karthak flagged off a KSRTC bus displaying financial literacy messages. The vehicle is sponsoned by the Nabard.
The literacy campaign involving 95 KSRTC buses, 306 buses of NWKRTC and 324 buses of NEKRTC is expected to cover rural areas in Karnataka. The messages focus on highlighting the benefits of basic banking, credit availability, remittance and payments, RuPay cards, insurance, timely repayment and banking facilities at doorsteps.
