Govt for interest-free loans likely for weavers

Minister for Kannada and Culture Umashree said the state government is considering providing interest-free loan for weavers.

After launching the Devanga community logo at the state-level Devanga convention organised by the South Zone Devanga Sangha at Emmekere Maidan on Sunday, she said weavers must progress socially and economically by using government facilities. They must also come up politically, she said. 

Inaugurating the programme, Union Minister for Law D V Sadananda Gowda said weavers must use their skill and contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Make in India campaign and contribute to the nation’s development.
