Anirban Basu, FIE and past Member of the Council of The Institution of Engineers (India), has taken over as the President of Computer Society of India (CSI) for the period 2016-2017.
Formed in 1965, CSI is the largest and oldest body of IT professionals, and has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry since its formative years. At present, CSI has 73 chapters across the country, over 500 student branches, and more than one lakh members, including India's most famous IT industry leaders, scientists and dedicated academicians. Anirban Basu is a dynamic executive based in Bengaluru with more than 35 years experience.
